We’re getting Social on Saturday…

Muddy Boots Therapeutic Gardening Project part of the Broadway Social Enterprise is taking part in Social Saturday on 14th October between 9.30 – 2.30.

Rita says…‘Come and join us to get the apple press going (bring your own fruit and bottle if you like) or join the art corner, or put an order in for your Christmas hyacinths.

We are sure there will be a morsel or two of food around but we will certainly have the kettle on’.

As a Company Limited by Guarantee we have no shareholders or hidden investments and we put all the surpluses and energies created back into our community projects. We currently serve the communities of Burton on Trent in Staffordshire, UK.

We are incredibly grateful to our funders and supporters who have helped us to create our first project, Muddy Boots, and the community garden and volunteer team that supports it.

Thank you to the Tesco Bags of Help grants programme for their generous assistance. Read more about the programme here.

The Muddy Boots community garden is situated to the rear of the MIND offices in Burton on Trent on Branston Road.

We are grateful for all the help and assistance we have been given by Burton and District MIND in the establishment of our social enterprise, and for the close and successful working relationship we have to specifically carry the Muddy Boots project forward.

‘Social Saturday is an annual campaign to raise awareness of the difference that social enterprises are making in communities on your doorstep and around the world, and to encourage you to support these businesses when making your purchasing decisions. Social enterprises are businesses that put people and planet first, by re-investing their profits to provide training, employment, housing, health, education, clean water and much more’. Narrative from SEuk, with thanks.

Come and chat to us on Social Saturday, we’d love to see you in our garden and to give you the opportunity to meet our fabulous people too!
